My fair readers, it is clear that I’ve been on a blogging hiatus as of late, with the reason being I had so much to say, but not nearly enough time to say it. First I was going to tell you about my international travels (you know that country up above that if we’re perfectly honest with…

ORV resources
here’s the website for Arnold’s way. http://arnoldsway.com/
and a link to Arnold’s YouTube videos (there are hundreds). This guy has helped people cure themselves of all kinds of ailments, from Schizophrenia to Cancer to depression. http://www.youtube.com/arnoldsway

Organic, Raw, Vegan- Update
Well, so much for daily updates…no, no, life decided to be much too busy for that. Anyway, I am really excited to share what I’ve been doing and my experiences thus far.
I read tons of information about the ORV lifestyle in the first few days and talked at length to people who live this way and are passionate about its benefits. (Arnold at Arnold’s Way Cafe is a living...

ORV- Organic, Raw, Vegan-Day 2
Day 2, check!
I woke up this morning super hungry, but kinda ignored it because i was busy packing and getting ready for my weekend in Philly. I have a tendency to skip meals when I’m busy, and we didn’t have a lot of food in the house that abided the ORV, so I just grabbed an apple and a pear and ate them on the car ride home. By 3pm i was STARVING. I’ve heard a lot about...
ORV- Organic, Raw, Vegan-Day 1!
Day 1 is in the books! Almost.
I was so excited when I woke up about pursuing this, that I spent the first few hours of the day just researching recipes and how to get started. I pulled coconut oil for a while, then made a hot cup of (my favorite) Detox Yogi Tea, but substituted honey for my typical sugar. Blech, I’m not fan.
Anyway, I happily sipped my tea as I researched and made a...
just finished pulling oil, and my previously throbbing tooth feels warm and fuzzy. not sure if it’s from 25 minutes of swishing, the warm oil in my mouth, or the actual detoxifying, but heck, I’ll take it!
hello friends.
i need a root canal.
this sucks.
however.
i have decided to pursue alternative methods first.
you see, my husband and i have been conscious of eating organically for a long time now (however, the majority of our diet is still conventional). We’ve even starting pulling coconut oil a few times a week (I’ll let you google that one). This summer, my friend Kelsey introduced me to...

You know how your mum or your pastor at one time has said, “this message may not be for you but it’s surely for someone in here” (while you’re sitting in church)… well I have been that person lately. Every time I crack any type of devotional, the message inside seems as though it was fabricated…

SELF HELP
Consider the success of instructional videos. Consider the success of self help. Think about what it is you’d like to be doing this time next year and set aside thirty minutes each day to practice that thing. No magical formulas, no great and powerful scheme. Thirty minutes. Every day….

mrwcase asked: I just met a gal tonight who is hoping to go to baking school but has never worked in one. I am trying to hook her up with a local bakery, but are there any books are suggestions you would have for a budding baker? P.S...I miss you and your hubby. Let's hang already :)

RENTAL Before you move out of your apartment you should buy some glow in the dark paint and spend a few minutes writing all kinds of secret messages for the tenants moving in after you. On the ceiling, inside the closets, under the sink, behind the doors. Be sure to let them…

food for thought: 'mommy blog' edition
i’ve been reading a lot of ‘mommy blogs’ lately, not because i’m ready to have children, but because many of the bloggers i’ve been following for years are having their own children now. their blogs have gone from sincere daily accounts of life to sing-songy stories about the first time their child blinked and how it was existential and life-altering. they are selling ad space on their blogs,...

I'm so glad you're back; all the while, I'm so sorry to hear about violation that you've expressed and felt! I often have apprehensions of something of that sort happening.

catharsis in another heavy post.
So yes, I’ve been quiet. On here, and in real life as well. These days I have no answers for anyone about anything. I have no idea which direction is up or down. It feels as if i’m drowning and I’m just trying to navigate myself to the surface.
I’m trying to navigate myself through the expectations of family and friends, of prior generations and of my own. Is a wife one...
An indelicate and cathartic post.
Hello tumblr. I’ve been quiet for a while. My blog was found by some people who my husband works with, and I’ve felt a violation of sorts. Let me explain.
From the beginning of this I’ve been aware of the fact that (hello!) I’m putting my thoughts/pictures/words on the internet, the once-big scary abyss of stalkers and strangers. I am clearly aware that anyone has access...
